For this Palm Beach kitchen renovation, LuxeSource Studio reimagined the heart of the home with a warmer, more architectural approach to coastal design. Rather than relying on traditional coastal cues, the space pairs rich natural wood, expressive stone, tailored lighting, and organic textures to create an interior that feels distinctly Florida while remaining sophisticated and timeless.
THE DESIGN STORY
COASTAL WARMTH, ELEVATED.
The design began with warmth. Rich wood cabinetry establishes the foundation of the kitchen, complemented by a custom wood range hood that creates a strong architectural focal point. Above, substantial ceiling beams and coffered detailing draw the eye upward, giving the room depth and a sense of craftsmanship.
Natural stone brings contrast and movement to the palette. The full-height backsplash showcases dramatic veining while the expansive island creates a bright, refined centerpiece against the deeper wood tones surrounding it.
Oversized pendants were selected to complement the scale of the island and introduce a softer, sculptural element overhead. Their warm metal detailing is echoed throughout the kitchen in the plumbing fixtures and hardware, creating cohesion without making the finishes feel overly matched.
Large black-framed windows provide a contemporary counterpoint to the traditional millwork and frame the lush Palm Beach landscape beyond. Woven Roman shades soften the architecture and filter the abundant natural light, reinforcing the relaxed quality we wanted the finished space to have.
At the center of it all, the generous island was designed for everyday living—providing ample preparation space, integrated seating, and a natural gathering place for family and guests.
