Scope: Kitchen Renovation + Styling
This Brewster kitchen renovation was designed around the idea that a newly renovated space can still feel established, collected, and deeply connected to the character of the home. LuxeSource Studio transformed the kitchen into a warm, sophisticated gathering space where rich wood tones, natural stone, aged brass, and architectural detailing create a sense of permanence while supporting the way the homeowners live today.
THE DESIGN STORY
Rather than approaching the renovation with a stark, contemporary palette, we leaned into warmth and craftsmanship. Deep walnut-toned cabinetry anchors the room, while the arched upper cabinets introduce an architectural softness that gives the kitchen its distinctive identity. Glass-front doors keep the cabinetry visually lighter and create an opportunity to display everyday pieces in an intentional way.
A dramatic dark plaster-style range hood provides contrast at the center of the kitchen, framed by softly veined natural stone that continues across the backsplash and countertops. The combination creates a strong focal point without overpowering the surrounding millwork.
At the center of the space, an expansive island was designed to function equally well for casual meals, entertaining, food preparation, and conversation. Four leather counter stools introduce another layer of warmth, while oversized aged-brass pendants give the island presence and help balance the scale of the room.
Throughout the renovation, the materials were selected to feel elevated without feeling overly formal—creating a kitchen that is sophisticated, comfortable, and designed to age beautifully.

DESIGN DETAILS
The finished kitchen feels as though it belongs to the home rather than simply having been added to it. Architectural curves, substantial millwork, warm metals, and natural materials give the space depth and character, while the generous island and updated layout make everyday living effortless.
It is a kitchen designed not around a passing trend, but around longevity—warm, timeless, highly functional, and distinctly personal.
